 Never again using alcohol based aftershaves May 27, 2010

I love this stuff; I started shaving my head recently and this balm feels great on my face and head. Price was great, I need to buy more, it has lasted nearly 6 months, shaving 3-4 times a week. I recommend the hell out of this!

This after shave is the best I have ever used. It makes your skin feel great after any shave, and have a most subtle, delicate, cooling scent. Once you use it your will never try another.

Although the scent is not totally masculine, who cares. It smells fresh and there is a sense of nostalgia with every application. I have no complaints.

I ordered this because it was listed as hypoallergenic and the ingredients seemed to correlate. When it arrived I discovered that it has several chemical additives, among them phenoxyethanol, which I appear to be allergic to, and seems to be in any in-organic aftershave. If you want a better idea, look at the shave cream from the same company. That lists all the ingredients (hopefully).

This is a pretty good moisturizing lotion. There is a definite shea butter feel to it without any astringent sting. The scent is very French, smelling of sage and rosemary, which is not overpowering but does persist throughout the day.
If you're looking for a lotion rather than a balm, and something more moisturizing rather than toning, this might be a good option. I prefer others (Baxter's of California) so only four stars. It's not my absolute favorite, but better than most.
